Salary: Up to £45k
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate loan applications and assess borrower's creditworthiness.
- Analyze property valuations and assess risk factors associated with bridging finance.
- Make informed decisions to approve or decline loan requests based on established criteria.
- Communicate decisions to brokers and borrowers in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on bridging finance.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
